Fans that are interested in your page are more likely to engage with your posts which will assist the organic reach of your page.
Setting your preferred audience in Facebook will not restrict who sees your page but will assist Facebook to get your page in front of people you believe will be most interested in your page.
You can specify which country, age group, gender, language and interests to create a preferred audience. There are thousands of options in the interests enabling you to target people based on their interests, activities, the Pages they have liked and closely related topics.
